PAINTINGS & DRAWINGS

Michael's works on paper coexisted and interplayed with his sculptural work—the two aspects speaking back and forth. Imagery, subject matter and themes are mirrored or developed across the two disciplines. In his later career, the works on paper became a larger focus, and finally his last method.
